Before you watch
This testimony contains graphic descriptions of domestic violence, drug and alcohol addiction, sexual compulsion, and demonic oppression spanning over a decade. What makes it extraordinary is not the darkness but the precision of God's intervention — the moment a heart of stone became flesh, and the chain of impossible restorations that followed.
What this story teaches
People don't just need to stop bad behaviour — they need the source of the pain that drives it addressed. Sean tried to get sober many times and failed until God touched the root: the unloved, unworthy heart underneath all the addiction.
How God moved
God waited through over a decade of addiction, violence, and rebellion — protecting Sean from overdoses, car crashes, and arrests — not because Sean deserved it, but because he had a purpose God refused to abandon. When Sean finally broke, God didn't just forgive him — he anointed him, healed his family, and turned his greatest shame into his greatest weapon.
The lie Sean carried
I was desperately trying to find love from all these other places — I didn't have my mother's love and I didn't have my father's love.
What Jesus showed him
Sean carried a core wound of being unloved and unwanted — physically abused by his father, emotionally starved, desperately seeking love from every relationship and substance. He had grieved the Holy Spirit so thoroughly that his heart had turned to stone. Jesus named this and broke it — turning his heart from stone to flesh in a single moment.
He anointed me — it felt like honey being dripped on me in the spirit. In the light of his glory, everything dark in me was cast out instantly. He gave me love for my parents that I thought was utterly impossible.
Go Deeper
Our testimony is used to lead other people to Christ. It's to give people hope. We have to bring it to the light. We have to confess it. Blessed are those who are persecuted for my name's sake, for their reward is heaven, the kingdom of heaven — and just this overwhelming joy and peace, and like double portion of honor and like all of these things can be for all of his children as long as we're just fully surrendered and obedient and just give our lives to him.

What you can take from this
If you are carrying a buried shame you have never confessed to anyone, identify one person this week — a pastor, a trusted friend, or even a stranger in a support group — and bring it into the light. The enemy's power over you lives in the secret.
I was just filled with this spirit of lust. I guess this spirit of lust just entered me and it plagued me, it tormented me for many many years. I was addicted to porn for at least 20 years.
Alcoholism runs in my family and my dad's family. It's a generational curse that was passed down through our bloodlines. When I first tried alcohol for the very first time, I just became super addicted to it.
I had buried that incident so deep in my heart for so many years. I didn't want to confess it. I didn't want to bring it out to the light. And because of that, the devil was accusing me in the courtroom of heaven and it prevented me from having favor with my own daughter.
I started to really isolate around this time. I lost all of my friends. Like nobody wanted to hang out with me anymore. I was in an isolation season throughout that entire year. I had no friends because everybody still hates me.
I was having suicidal thoughts. I wanted to kill myself. I just wanted my life to end. At the same time I was having murderous thoughts — those thoughts of hate became murderous intent. Like murderous thoughts.
I was filled with fear and anxiety, social anxiety, all these anxieties. The kingdom of darkness was literally intimidating me powerfully. I felt this fear and dread just come over me. I was so afraid of people condemning me, judging me.
I was desperately just trying to seek pleasure and love from all of these other places besides God. I was sleeping around with anybody I could match with on dating apps. It was just this constant cycle of abandonment and rejection that I was living out from my own hurts.
I started off taking one Xanax a day and then it would lead to two, three. I was taking upwards of 20 to 30 Z bars during my binges. There are months in my life I don't remember anything because I was completely blacked out. I was searching for these substances to numb everything.
Lord, if rehab is the only door that's open right now, I surrender. Just help me get through it, you know. Just help me get through it and deliver me from this addiction.
I cried out to the Lord at the top of my lungs three or four times, five times, I don't know, just crying, sobbing. I wanted him to kill me. I was so fed up. I just wanted to die.
Lord, I'm not worthy. I'm not worthy. I'm not worthy. I'm confessing everything. I'm apologizing. Lord, please forgive me.
Lord, I'm going to read it every day until the day I die. I had this hunger — he filled me with this hunger for his word. I started reading the Bible like hours every single day.
I would just sit in my room at night and I would just verbally break all these curses over myself, over my bloodline, repenting of the sins of my forefathers.
I had to start praying for them. I've never prayed for my parents my entire life. As I started to wish them good things, pray prosperity over them, pray health, good life, wealth, all these good things — each day got easier and easier.
I lay my hands on his shoulder and then I start leading him through prayers of repentance, renouncing curses, renouncing all these things, repenting of the sins of his forefathers, renouncing all of his ancestors' sins and then renouncing all of his addictions.
I record a testimony. I record everything. I surrendered first. I prayed. I asked the Lord to please help me. I surrender Lord. And then as soon as I hit record, everything just started flowing out of me — 40-some minutes.
I call him. I confess everything. And he was like, 'That was over 10 years ago. Our family forgave you. You were young and stupid. We all love you and we all forgive you.' And then I just felt Holy Spirit fill my whole room with love and peace and joy.
Exodus 20:12
Sean cited this to explain the curse that came upon him for disobeying both sides of his family by pursuing a destructive relationship.
Proverbs 22:14
Sean applied this to his toxic relationship cycle, identifying himself as a man under the Lord's wrath falling into a deep pit.
Proverbs 10:4
Sean cited this — 'the fears of the wicked will come upon them' — as the scripture that explained his greatest fear (being cheated on) coming to pass.
Psalms 34:18
Sean cited this during his time in rehab, where he felt God's presence powerfully among the brokenhearted.
Proverbs 10:1
The first scripture Sean opened to after his conversion encounter — 'a foolish son grieves his mother' — pierced him with conviction and led to weeping repentance.
2 Chronicles 7:14
Sean cited this as the scripture that showed him humility and prayer were the path to healing his land — his family and relationships.
Joshua 1:9
Sean recited this repeatedly to muster courage before going to pray over his father, overcoming intense fear.
Proverbs 28:13
God led Sean to this scripture repeatedly to compel him to confess his hidden sin — 'whoever conceals their sins does not prosper.'
Matthew 26:39
God led Sean to Jesus's Gethsemane prayer — 'not as I will, but as you will' — to teach him obedience to the point of death before confessing publicly.
Sean spent years in reckless living, addiction, and shame before a breaking point led him home to the Father, who met him with radical restoration.
Sean described withering away physically and spiritually — like a plant being shriveled up — before God breathed life back into him through the Word.
Sean's sudden, overwhelming encounter with divine light that instantly transformed him from darkness to clarity mirrors Paul's Damascus road experience.
God revealed Sean's true identity — his meekness, gentleness, and shyness as gifts, not weaknesses — replacing his shame-based self-understanding.
Sean's Christian Walk
Shame-filled, nihilistic addict numbing generational trauma through every available substance and relationship → radically delivered believer walking in identity, purpose, and supernatural joy.
Desire to drink completely removed after rehab — still sober. Father got sober after Sean prayed over him and led him through repentance. All debt paid off. Relationship with parents restored after years of hatred and cringing. Gained genuine compassion for people he once raged at. Made amends with customers. Received forgiveness from the family he had wronged over a decade earlier.
I understood my authority in that moment. I understood my identity in that moment. Everything that was in me that was dark cast it out instantly.
The desire to drink — completely gone after rehab. Also, in the moment of conversion encounter, everything dark in him was cast out instantly in the light of Christ's glory.
The desire to drink completely gone — he took it away from me. Everything in me that was dark, in the light of his glory, cast it out instantly. Years of unforgiveness shattered, toppled, dismantled — stronghold just torn down. The bitterness towards my parents uprooted out of my heart. The spirit of lust, pornography addiction, all the darkness.
Continued to battle pornography, masturbation, lust, nicotine addiction, and murderous and suicidal thoughts in the first year of sobriety. Health deteriorated with unexplained physical symptoms. Remained isolated with no friends. Had to obey God's call to publicly confess past sexual misconduct against a minor — a terrifying act of atonement.
Sharing his full testimony publicly — first with individual customers at the nail salon, then on social media and platforms like this one — to give hope to people trapped in shame, addiction, and hopelessness. Leading family Bible study at home and interceding for his parents and sister.
Prayer
The power of Prayer — praying mother stood in the gap for Sean.
Sean's mother had been praying for him throughout his years of darkness, thanking the Lord a thousand times over, weeping with gratitude when he finally came to the light. A YouTube preacher named Cliff, whose sermon on forgiveness appeared unexpectedly on Sean's gaming-dominated algorithm, served as the immediate human instrument God used — one sermon that changed the atmosphere of Sean's room and triggered his conversion encounter.
Sean closes their testimony with a prayer for you.
Whatever you carry right now, you can bring it to Him. You don’t need the right words.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13
If you don’t know how → Just ask him
Pray for anyone numbing pain through addiction who has never had someone tell them they are worth pursuing. Pray that God would send a Cliff into their algorithm — one unexpected encounter that changes everything.
Is today your day?
Absolutely, He will.
You don't have to figure everything out right now.
You don't need to have all the answers.
If something stirred in your heart while you were watching or reading — that's not nothing.
That is the Holy Spirit gently knocking on the door of your heart.
Stay right here. There's no rush. The Spirit doesn't pressure or hurry.
Watch another video. Read a little more. Take your time.
When you're ready — even if “ready” just means a little curious — Jesus is ready to meet you.
You don't have to clean up your life first.
You don't have to pass any test.
You only need to say a simple “yes” to Him.
He will take care of the rest.
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
