Before you watch
This testimony goes into significant detail about demonic oppression, sleep paralysis, and sexual violation by a spiritual entity across 15 years — content that may be distressing but is described with pastoral purpose and clarity. What makes it worth watching is Christa's precise, hard-won understanding of how the New Age and occult operate as counterfeits of the real — and how completely Christ dismantled what 15 years of shamanic practice could not.
What this story teaches
People with no stable identity and no trustworthy parental figures are uniquely vulnerable to spiritual counterfeits — because the occult and New Age offer exactly what was missing: guidance, belonging, purpose, and a sense of being special. The hunger is real; only the source is wrong.
How God moved
God pursued Christa through 15 years of demonic oppression, a suicidal postpartum crisis, and decades of occult practice — meeting her in the desert, whispering into her heart, and finally reaching her through a grandmother's lifetime of quiet prayer and a funeral sermon. He did not wait for her to find her way out. He reached in.
The lie Christa carried
I had to cobble together my own identity and wholeness from the world — through relationships, spirit guides, and healing practices — because I had no one to guide me and no one who truly wanted me.
What Jesus showed her
She had spent her entire life with no stable identity — parentified in one home, scapegoated in another — and had been trying to construct a self from spirit guides, tarot, healing practices, and men. The wound was that she had no one to guide her and no one who truly wanted her as she was.
He is the perfect father. He is the perfect mother. He is the perfect parent where I can heal those old attachment wounds. All that healing I was seeking — God saying, 'This is how we do it. I'm with you now.'
Go Deeper
If you are somebody who has really struggled with identity, who struggled with your relational health of feeling whole. If you've been seeking in the world to cobble together some sense of wholeness for yourself. If you have been seeking and consuming but you're never filled — you're struggling with PTSD or you're a chameleon or a people pleaser — whatever it is. You don't have to seek out in the world. You don't have to seek things and then try to discern if it's deception or not. You just seek Christ and become a reflection of him. And it may take some time. He has his own perfect timing. And it may seem like you're just in the muck and you don't know why all this stuff is happening all of a sudden. But know that with your focus and attention on Christ, with learning how to abide in him, the you that he created you to be — his vision of you when he created you and who he knows you to be, who he has always known you to be — will rise to the surface. And there's a freedom in that. You don't have to seek in the world and try to fashion together a purpose and a calling and a sense of who I am. Because when you focus on Christ, when you just try your best to follow in his footsteps, to be obedient to him, it is so freeing. So I just encourage you — like that reverend encouraged me — just to, if you're wondering, if you're thinking, if you've been praying on it, maybe receive this as the Lord bringing the words of the Holy Spirit to you. Maybe it's you. And even if you're not fully convinced, you can even just say, 'Okay, what if I did believe? I'm going to step into this as if I believed and see what happens.' You can't lose anything. Nothing to lose there.

What you can take from this
If you have been consuming spiritual content, practices, or relationships to fill an emptiness that never fills — this week, stop adding and instead sit quietly and ask the God of the Bible one honest question: Is this the truth?
A demon she identifies as a sexual predator claimed her and came repeatedly during sleep — pulling her astral body from her physical body and violating her. This went on for approximately 15 years. She links the entry point to relational trauma, love addiction, and sexual openness outside of marriage.
The entire New Age and shamanic framework presented itself as light, healing, and truth — with satanic signs and wonders providing feedback that she was on the right track. Spirit guides presented as family and helpers. The occult inverted God's light and drew her in through her genuine desire to be good and to heal.
Through parentification in one household and scapegoating in another, her identity development was arrested. She entered adulthood with almost non-existent sense of self, codependency, and boundary perforations — which she explicitly identifies as making her more vulnerable to spiritual intrusion from the enemy.
Tarot led to mediums, mediums led to energy work, energy work led to shamanism, shamanism led to becoming a hollow bone for spirits — each step deepening her entrapment and her identity investment in the occult. She describes it as addictive and as leading her straight to hell.
During severe postpartum depression, she was actively planning suicide every day — knew how and where she would do it. The pull was constant. Only an internal divine word — 'This isn't my life to end' — held her back.
She used a tarot deck for 20 years as a surrogate parent and guidance system, consulting it for her most challenging questions. She also worked with mediums who provided satanic signs and wonders — including naming her deceased grandfather — to validate her path and keep her in the occult.
Her mother was raised in Thai animism and folk magic, experienced demonic sleep paralysis with black hooded entities, and seemed haunted — Christa wondered if a curse had been placed on her mother's family lineage. The supernatural vulnerability and occult openness passed generationally.
The enemy used her identity wound and pride simultaneously — feeding her a sense of being special and gifted while keeping her in shame and pain. The pride kept her going deeper into shamanism; the shame kept her from seeking the biblical God. She describes being aware of the pride but unable to name it as sin.
The night before her grandmother's funeral, she prayed: 'God, you're going to have to hit me over the head with this. Is this the truth?' A direct, honest prayer of openness.
Spoke to the reverend after the service. He told her: 'Don't start at the beginning — start with the Gospel of John.' She went back and began reading it that morning.
I got baptized four weeks later. I was baptized again later than that — into the Orthodox Church — where the baptismal process included rites of minor exorcism: actively verbally denouncing Satan, repenting, and breaking all agreements with the enemy.
Within the Orthodox baptismal process, she actively verbally denounced Satan and broke all agreements she may have had with the enemy — cutting ties at that level with the demonic realm because of how much she had opened herself up to it and worked in tandem with it.
John 1:1
The passage she read when peace filled the room and her eyes were opened to receive Scripture as living truth — her conversion moment.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you — she keeps this on a card; central to her healing from relational trauma and PTSD.
Isaiah 26:3
Perfect peace for the mind stayed on God — she cites this as describing God's nature and what he offers those with complex trauma.
Romans 12:2
Transformed by the renewing of your mind — she names this as the active work God is doing in her life now.
Ephesians 5:1–2
Be imitators of God as dear children — she quotes this as her identity declaration: she is a child of God.
Ephesians 3:14–21
Paul's prayer for the church — she reads this as her closing prayer for viewers, that they be filled with all the fullness of God.
Genesis 3:1–6
She describes San Francisco as a tree of knowledge with apples everywhere — she ate the apple, wanting secret gnosis.
Like Paul, Christa was actively working against God's purposes while convinced she served the light, then encountered God directly and was turned around completely.
Christa spent years in a far country of spiritual deception, consuming but never filled, before returning to the Father who had been sought through her grandmother's prayers.
Christa describes her identity as fragmented and arrested — a hollow bone emptied for spirits — and Christ as the one restoring her to the person he knitted in the womb.
She explicitly names the occult as an inversion of Christ's light, and her conversion as moving from false light to the true light of the Word.
Christa's Christian Walk
New Age shamanic practitioner and light-worker who trusted spirit guides as family → baptised Christian who recognises those guides as demonic and Christ as the only true healer and source of identity.
The demonic dreams and sexual violations that plagued her for approximately 15 years stopped completely after her Orthodox baptism and have not returned in nearly four years. She no longer obsesses over her identity or purpose. She describes being freed from the constant question of who she is and what her purpose is.
I am not fixated with who I am anymore. So much of it has come with Christ in my life. I know that my purpose is simply to be a reflection of Christ.
The demonic dreams, sleep paralysis, physical attacks, and sexual violations by a predator demon — 15 years of nightly affliction — stopped completely after her Orthodox baptism and have not returned.
All those dreams had stopped — 15 years of demonic dreams, sleep paralysis, physical attacks, and violation by a sexual predator demon. Set free from the tarot, from working with spirit guides, from shamanic practices, from love addiction and codependency, from the identity I had cobbled together as a healer in the new age.
A month after baptism, major crises erupted involving both her father and mother, requiring her to take on heavy responsibility. She describes the last four years as a difficult refining process — hard sanctification work — though she holds it as purposeful. She also left the Orthodox Church after feeling guided out, which was a significant and costly decision.
Sharing her testimony publicly to warn others about the occult and New Age, and to reach people struggling with identity, relational trauma, PTSD, and spiritual deception — pointing them toward Christ as the only true healer.
Prayer
The power of Prayer — Praying grandmother stood in the gap for Christa.
Prayed for Christa over decades without knowing the full extent of what her granddaughter was experiencing. Never pushed or pressured — gently reminded her she could pray, mentioned the church prayer list, and exuded love, patience, perseverance, and faith. At the end of her life, she wrote her own funeral service as a testimony to God's power, which became the moment Christa's faith broke open. A Methodist reverend at the funeral — moved by the Holy Spirit — also paused before leaving the podium and gave an invitation that Christa experienced as directly addressed to her.
Christa closes their testimony with a prayer for you.

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

If you don’t know how → Just ask him
Pray for anyone currently in the New Age or occult who genuinely believes they are working for the light — that God would reach into where they are, as he reached into where Christa was, and show them the difference between the true light and its counterfeit.
