Before you watch
This testimony contains graphic childhood abuse, sexual abuse by a father, suicidal crisis, and deep occult involvement including demonic possession. What makes it extraordinary is not just the survival but the precision of God's intervention — orchestrating a carjacking, a broken purse strap, and a phone call to reach one man the same hour he had his hand near a gun.
What this story teaches
People can be deeply embedded in spiritual power — even genuinely moving in the supernatural — and still be completely lost. Spiritual experience is not the same as knowing God, and the enemy is willing to give people real power to keep them from the real thing.
How God moved
God pursued Jonathan across every layer of darkness — through a near-death experience as a child, a mysterious figure in a fire in high school, and a carjacked car on the day he was about to end his life. He didn't wait for Jonathan to clean himself up or leave the occult first. He came to find him inside it.
The lie Jonathan carried
I was a terrible son, a terrible brother, a terrible student, a terrible friend — I deserved to die.
What Jesus showed him
Jonathan carried the lie that he was a terrible son, brother, student, and friend who deserved to die — a boy beaten nearly to death by his own mother, molested by his father, worshipped as a Buddha yet still broken and lost inside. Jesus called him 'a little boy with questions' and came to him by name.
He's my everything. When I was about to commit suicide, he answered my cry. When I was broken inside, he healed me. He's a great physician. He's led me out of some of the darkest areas of my life and mended the deepest wounds.
Go Deeper
If you're watching today, I don't think it's by coincidence that you logged on. I don't think it's coincidence you're watching. I think it's a divine appointment. If you were like me, completely in a different belief, not knowing God is real, broken, angry, suicidal, I promise you this: Jesus is God and he is real and he knows you by name. Jesus is calling you by name today. It's not a coincidence that you logged on. Jesus is saying, 'Look at me. Call out to me and let me save you because I'm the only one who could save you.' If you don't know Jesus and he's not your Lord and Savior, know that you — it says to confess with your mouth. All you do is say it: Jesus, you're my Lord and Savior. Believe in your heart and then invite the Holy Spirit, which is Christ, the spirit of God, to fill you and allow him to transform you. Get into a Bible-based, Spirit-filled church. Read the Bible and believe. And then God will begin to transform your entire life like he did mine. I've been in your shoes — to literally forsake or leave everything I've ever known. That was the scariest thing. To leave the powers I thought I had to really experience true power. To leave the practices I did to seek inner peace to find the real peace only comes through Jesus. I promise you it's the best decision you're ever going to make because Jesus literally paid it all for you.
People can be deeply embedded in spiritual power — even genuinely moving in the supernatural — and still be completely lost. Spiritual experience is not the same as knowing God, and the enemy is willing to give people real power to keep them from the real thing.
What you can take from this
This week, if you have been numbing pain with anything — substances, sex, achievement, spiritual practice — stop and ask the God of the Bible one honest question, the way Jonathan did. You don't have to believe first. Just ask.
From birth, Jonathan was embedded in Buddhism and witchcraft — taught that he was a reincarnated Buddha, that spiritual gifts came from enlightenment, and that there was no need for an outward God. The devil used his genuine spiritual gifts to keep him and others entrapped in a false system.
Jonathan was regularly possessed by familiar spirits during seances — spirits pretending to be deceased relatives of grieving families. He believed he was doing good deeds. As a Christian he recognized these as demons assigned to individuals who knew every detail of their lives.
Thoughts of suicide plagued Jonathan from a young age. He had vivid imaginations of how he would die. On the day of his conversion he was five steps from his father's 9mm. He described voices constantly attacking him with 'great ways of ending the suffering' — which he later recognized as demonic, not his own thoughts.
Jonathan described being addicted to drugs, alcohol, sex, and pornography simultaneously — all used to numb the pain of childhood trauma. He described everything as temporary relief that kept him returning for more. His father modelled addiction to gambling, alcohol, and sexual compulsion.
Jonathan believed he was a terrible son, terrible brother, terrible student, terrible friend — that he deserved to die. Voices reinforced this constantly. He thought the suicidal thoughts were his own great ideas rather than demonic attack.
After Jonathan became a Christian, his mother violently expelled his Christian friends from the home, screaming that he was Buddhist not Christian. This cut off his only Christian community and left him isolated for six months with no church.
I said, 'God, if this is them, I am yours forever.' And I pick up the phone and it was the Mormon girl.
All you do is say it — Jesus, you're my Lord and Savior — believe in your heart and then invite the Holy Spirit, which is Christ, the spirit of God, to fill you.
I forgave my mother for beating me relentlessly. I forgave my father for molesting me and exposing me to violent pornography, getting me addicted to alcohol, drugs, sex.
My mother and I, we have a great relationship. She texts and calls. She's totally okay reconciled with my relationship with Jesus.
John 14:6–7
The first and only scripture Jonathan ever heard — shown to him twice by two different people on the same day, which he experienced as divine confirmation.
John 14:12
The scripture that sent Jonathan to the ER at midnight to pray for the sick — launching his healing ministry.
Psalms 34:8
Speaker references 'taste and see' as the moment he experienced God's love and kindness that turned his heart to repentance.
Romans 2:4
Speaker explicitly states it is the kindness of God that turns the heart to repentance — not fear of hell.
Revelation 22:18–19
Jonathan received a download from God that the Book of Mormon was adding to His word, which he cited to the Mormon girls.
Mark 16:17–18
Speaker references 'these signs will follow those who believe' as the scripture that launched his healing and deliverance ministry.
Romans 10:9
Speaker quotes 'confess with your mouth' when giving the salvation prayer to viewers.
Revelation 12:11
Speaker references 'we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony' when explaining why sharing testimony matters.
Like Paul, Jonathan was operating in spiritual power against God's purposes and was stopped by a direct divine encounter that reversed his entire trajectory.
Jonathan hit rock bottom in every area of life and cried out to a God he didn't know — and the Father ran to meet him that same day.
The mysterious figure who pulled Jonathan from the fire in 10th grade and said 'I'm reaching out to pluck you from the flames' directly echoes this passage.
God orchestrated a carjacking, a broken purse strap, and a phone call to reach one suicidal Buddhist — the lengths of the shepherd for the one lost sheep.
The accusation
God allowed this to happen to meWhat they said
“God, why are you doing this to me?”
How God answered
God answered by showing up the same day — carjacking two strangers to knock on his door, calling him 'a little boy with questions that need answers,' and revealing himself as the God of the Bible who had been tugging at his heart his entire life.
Resolution
Fully resolved in testimonyJonathan's Christian Walk
Buddhist sorcerer and self-described 'Buddha' who mocked powerless Christians → Spirit-filled pastor who heals the sick and casts out the same demons he once invited in.
Forgave his mother for years of violent beatings and now has a restored, warm relationship with her — she calls and texts regularly. His brother came to faith. Two cousins saved. Dyslexia and stutter healed enough to become a pastor and professional copywriter. No longer carrying addiction to drugs, alcohol, sex, or pornography.
I grew up dyslexic and a stutter. I'm a pastor. I speak for a living. God just began to heal things in my life.
I forgave my mother for beating me relentlessly. I forgave my father for molesting me and exposing me to violent pornography, getting me addicted to alcohol, drugs, sex. I was into drugs, alcohol, women, pornography — trying to numb the pain. Everything was so temporary.
His mother violently expelled his new Christian friends from the home. He had no church and no Christian community for months. He navigated leaving Buddhism while still living in a household steeped in it. His father, who had molested him, died without reconciliation.
With Jesus it's all given to us by grace — salvation, healing, gifts — finished by Jesus and handed to us as a gift. You just receive. You don't have to earn those gifts.
Full-time pastor running street evangelism, healing ministry, and deliverance ministry across Houston and online. Has conducted thousands of deliverances. His wife and he traveled evangelizing churches. Brother and multiple cousins have come to faith through his witness.
Prayer
The power of Prayer — Two Mormon missionaries stood in the gap for Jonathan.
Two Mormon girls heard an audible voice outside their car directing them to Jonathan's door — the same day he was five steps from a gun — telling them a boy inside had questions that needed answers and that all the answers were in the Holy Bible. They knocked on his door, shared John 14:6, and conducted four months of weekly Bible studies. Eight of them later left the Mormon church and became Christians through what Jonathan showed them in scripture.
Jonathan closes their testimony with a prayer for you.
Whatever you carry right now, you can bring it to Him. You don’t need the right words.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13
If you don’t know how → Just ask him
Pray for those trapped in Eastern religions, occult practice, or New Age spirituality who are moving in genuine spiritual gifts but have never encountered Jesus — that God would orchestrate the same kind of precise, undeniable intervention he did for Jonathan.
Is today your day?
Absolutely, He will.
You don't have to figure everything out right now.
You don't need to have all the answers.
If something stirred in your heart while you were watching or reading — that's not nothing.
That is the Holy Spirit gently knocking on the door of your heart.
Stay right here. There's no rush. The Spirit doesn't pressure or hurry.
Watch another video. Read a little more. Take your time.
When you're ready — even if “ready” just means a little curious — Jesus is ready to meet you.
You don't have to clean up your life first.
You don't have to pass any test.
You only need to say a simple “yes” to Him.
He will take care of the rest.
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
