Before you watch
This testimony contains frank descriptions of the adult film industry, drug addiction including heroin and crystal meth, and suicidal depression. What makes it worth watching is Britney's unflinching honesty about the lies she believed and the specific, audible way God pursued her even while she was still in the industry — and the life she now lives as proof his word does not return void.
What this story teaches
People don't stay in destructive situations because they love the destruction — they stay because the destruction is filling a real need that nothing else has filled. When the real need gets met, the false substitute loses its grip.
How God moved
God pursued Britney even while she was actively sinning — not waiting for her to clean herself up first. He spoke to her in the middle of her worst years, gave her specific practical guidance to escape, and kept his promise that her life would overflow with love and peace. He is not repelled by the mess; he walks into it.
The lie Britney carried
If I was in a relationship I was valuable; if I was having sex with somebody that meant I was worthy.
What Jesus showed her
Britney had believed her entire life that she was only valuable when men desired her sexually — that worth had to be earned through her body. She had been searching for love and validation in a strip club at 16, and carried that wound through seven years of the adult industry and drug addiction.
He promised me a life that was going to overflow with love and peace and joy, and he did that — his word did not return void. He has freedom from all mental illness, freedom from addictions, and he has so much love for you.
Go Deeper
If you are struggling with lust is really to get into the word of God. The Bible says that if you walk by the spirit you won't gratify the desires of the flesh. God wants to rewire your brain, God wants to heal your soul, God wants to set you free from that but it's going to take a relationship with him. A relationship with God, go to church, you have to just keep your spirit so full of God. If you're working in a strip club or are in the adult entertainment industry I would really challenge you to dig deep into your heart and ask yourself why — it's not just about the money, it's not just about fame, usually there is a place of brokenness in your heart that needs healing. God has a better life in store for you just like he promised me a life that was going to overflow with love peace and joy — and he did that, that word did not return void. It's going to come when you take a step of faith and you surrender your heart to Jesus.
People don't stay in destructive situations because they love the destruction — they stay because the destruction is filling a real need that nothing else has filled. When the real need gets met, the false substitute loses its grip.
What you can take from this
This week, identify one place where you are looking for validation from a person or a platform instead of from God — and deliberately withdraw from it for one day, replacing it with time in the Bible.
There was a seed that was planted in me that night that if you are going to find your place of validation it's going to be when you take your clothes off and you're going to get paid for it. I believed that if I was in a relationship I was valuable, if I was having sex with somebody that meant I was worthy.
I started using cocaine at that point and from there once I started using cocaine in the industry it kind of felt like all the pain went away because it numbed it. It went from cocaine to prescription pills to eventually heroin and crystal meth — it just kind of got worse and worse.
The devil was not happy about my decision and men were very much my weakness and so he sent a man into my life that was a pimp and he got me back into the industry for another three and a half years.
The more that you ignore your conscience the more that you ignore the Holy Spirit the more numb to those things you become until I became a woman with no convictions and it was just anything goes. In the beginning I had some convictions but after I kept ignoring those convictions eventually I became a woman with no convictions.
I just started crying on the airplane and I start having a conversation in my heart with God and I just said I'm so sorry Lord I had no idea that this is what I've been doing like I not only do I hate my life but I've been leading people into sin and I know that this is breaking your heart.
I quit the industry that day.
I wanted to start going to church but I didn't know you could just like walk into a church... I saw that on his page he had scripture so I was like hey do you go to church and he's like yeah and I'm like can you take me with you.
I did the Purity ceremony at our church and I told myself and God that I was going to take a year off of dating because I knew that men were my weakness and I just was hungry for God.
Every day I was like I am not going to fall into sexual sin and I would get a knot in my stomach every time I would say it like my soul did not believe me and I kept speaking it until one day it was like I just felt something break.
About two years after that my husband and I started dating and exactly three years after I did the Purity ceremony at church... I married my husband the man that actually preached that message that changed my life on February 20th 2016.
Revelation 2:20–23
The passage about Jezebel leading people into sexual immorality struck Britney as a direct word from God about her own life and broke her.
John 8:32
Britney cited this verse — 'you will know the truth and the truth will set you free' — as the experience she had in that airplane moment.
Romans 6:23
Cited to explain the spiritual death toll of the adult industry — the wages of sin is death.
1 Corinthians 6:18
Britney cited this to explain that sexual sin is uniquely against one's own body — a heavy weight of self-harm.
Psalms 37:4
Cited as promise that delighting in God changes the desires of the heart — including desire for pornography.
Galatians 5:16
Britney cited 'walk by the Spirit and you won't gratify the desires of the flesh' as practical counsel for overcoming lust.
Britney came to faith, backslid into the industry under a pimp, then returned to God — a classic prodigal arc with restoration.
Britney's story of being in sexual sin while God pursued her with truth and grace rather than condemnation echoes this encounter.
Like the Samaritan woman, Britney sought love through multiple men and found the one who offered what she truly needed.
Britney's Christian Walk
Validation-starved adult performer who believed worth came from male attention and fame → woman of God who found true identity, freedom, and love in Christ.
Married her husband — the very pastor whose sermon changed her life — on the exact anniversary of her purity dedication. Maintained sexual purity until her wedding night despite her past. Achieved sobriety from heroin, cocaine, prescription pills, and crystal meth. Has a life she describes as genuinely overflowing with love, peace, and joy.
I really do have a life that overflows with love and peace and joy.
Freedom from all mental illness, freedom from addictions — heroin, cocaine, prescription pills, crystal meth. Set free from suicidal thoughts, depression, the adult industry, the spirit of lust, and the lie that her worth came from male attention and sexual validation.
After her first conversion she was pulled back into the industry for another three and a half years by a pimp who exploited her weakness for male validation. She continued struggling with sin while simultaneously developing a relationship with God, and had to humble herself to call her estranged mother for help.
God loves us even when we're in our sin but he loves us so much that he's not going to leave us there.
Runs Love Always Ministries with her husband, offering courses for men and women struggling with pornography, a singles course for marriage preparation, and books including 'A Call to Purity.' Also hosts 'Uncensored with Britney' YouTube channel covering sexuality from a Christian perspective. Ministers at porn conventions.
Prayer
The power of Prayer — grandfather stood in the gap for Britney.
Her grandfather had been going to church, and when Britney detoxed at her grandmother's house, she asked if she could join him. He and his wife took her to church, where she received Jesus and was given her first Bible. Later, a pastor at a Young Adult Ministry preached a word about women being worthy of real true love — he became her husband.
Britney closes their testimony with a prayer for you.
Whatever you carry right now, you can bring it to Him. You don’t need the right words.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13
If you don’t know how → Just ask him
Pray for anyone who believes their worth is tied to how others see their body or their performance — that God would speak to them as directly as he spoke to Britney, and that they would hear him.
Is today your day?
Absolutely, He will.
You don't have to figure everything out right now.
You don't need to have all the answers.
If something stirred in your heart while you were watching or reading — that's not nothing.
That is the Holy Spirit gently knocking on the door of your heart.
Stay right here. There's no rush. The Spirit doesn't pressure or hurry.
Watch another video. Read a little more. Take your time.
When you're ready — even if “ready” just means a little curious — Jesus is ready to meet you.
You don't have to clean up your life first.
You don't have to pass any test.
You only need to say a simple “yes” to Him.
He will take care of the rest.
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

I was a bitter, cynical, selfish Jewish atheist. I had a 40-year pornography addiction, I was buying sex from women, lying to everyone, and stuffing it all down behind a mask. I didn't believe in God and I had no idea how to love anyone.

Ron
I was a scrawny burnout hippie — Jewish by birth, Buddhist by practice, wannabe shaman — smoking two and a half packs a day, doing hallucinogenics, living on the road with a woman I had nothing in common with, and I couldn't hold a thought in a bucket.

Abby
I was a dancer, a drug user, a psychology student living a double life — always trying to fit in, never knowing who I was. No identity, no knowledge of God, just seeking wherever I could find it. I was good at hiding everything.

I was an atheist who mocked my pastor parents, thought church was a money-making fairy tale, and spent my life drinking, partying, and gaming. Later I got into yoga and New Age spirituality, believing I was God and could manifest everything.

James
I was a porn addict, a drug addict, a pack-a-day smoker putting down a 12-pack a day, a failed husband, and a man who had built his whole life around getting people to accept him. I called myself an atheist but I was really just drowning in rejection.

Talita
I hated my family, I hated my country, I hated my life. I was just running away — drugs, parties, reckless relationships, absolutely fearless because I never really felt loved and had no boundaries. I was a mess.

I was probably the most hateful atheist — even after hearing from the spirit realm, having a foundation of God, I just completely rejected that. I was on drugs, on my own at 17, and I was so angry at the idea of God I couldn't stand it.

I grew up in China never hearing the gospel, programmed to think religion was outdated and unscientific. I moved to the US, got into New Age spirituality, tarot cards, breathwork, meditation, and psychedelics — all trying to heal and fill a void of love I'd carried since childhood.
