Alex
“I grew up in China never hearing the gospel, got into psychedelics and New Age spirituality, and Jesus pulled me out of the water and showed me heaven and hell before I had ever read a single page of the Bible.”

Before you watch
This testimony contains vivid descriptions of demonic encounters, visions of hell, and psychedelic drug use — content that requires emotional preparation. What makes it extraordinary is that Alex encountered Jesus, heaven, hell, baptism, and the wedding supper of the Lamb in a single night — before he had ever read a single page of the Bible.
What this story teaches
People searching for healing, love, and meaning through spirituality or substances are often looking for the same thing — they just don't know yet that what they're looking for has a name.
How God moved
God pursued Alex across years of New Age searching, psychedelic retreats, and spiritual confusion — not waiting for him to clean himself up first. He revealed himself in the middle of Alex's sin, showing him heaven, hell, and unconditional love in a single night. He looked at Alex as if he had never sinned, even moments after Alex had faced the full weight of his own darkness.
The lie Alex carried
I'm a good person — I always thought if you ask nonbelievers they say yeah maybe I'm going to heaven because I'm a good person.
What Jesus showed him
He had carried a fear of abandonment since before birth — his mother attempted to abort him three times — and spent his entire life searching for love and home to fill that void. He believed he was a good person, unaware of the darkness within him, until kneeling before God he saw himself clearly as a sinner.
He's the one that pulled me out of the water. I felt the friend in him, the brother aspect of Jesus — like a best friend I can't even describe. He chose me out of the world; I didn't choose him.
Go Deeper
You don't have to go through what I went through because just repent and believe in the gospel — may my story help you to believe that the word of God is true so you don't have to go through what I went through. Start reading the Bible. I hope my testimony just stirs up some hunger in people to read the word because it is truly beautiful — it's everything, it's Jesus himself, the Bible is a person. Fear God and keep his commandments.
People searching for healing, love, and meaning through spirituality or substances are often looking for the same thing — they just don't know yet that what they're looking for has a name.
What you can take from this
If you have been filling a void with spiritual practices, substances, or relationships, take one honest moment this week to ask: what am I actually looking for? Then ask Jesus directly if he is the answer.
New Age spirituality packaged as self-improvement — tarot cards, breathwork, meditation, affirmations, psychedelics — presented as healing and evolution but was a false light. The enemy disguised himself as an angel of light, using almost the same words as the angels but with a wrong feeling.
A female old witch-like transparent entity that came out of his mouth during the vision — he later realized this was what had been stopping him from hearing the gospel, going to church, or receiving any teaching. My heart was cold like a stone and nothing was coming in.
In the hell vision, voices of judgment, condemnation, shame and guilt — anything to belittle me. Making us to be small, to be fearful so we're not stepping fully into our power and authority under Christ. I was in that state of just so shame, feeling so shamed and just so little, feeling so small.
The fear of abandonment was kind of ingrained in me — my mom wanted to have an abortion three times. Growing up I was always looking for a sense of home and love. The enemy capitalized on that trauma and I was looking for love my entire life in all the wrong places.
Started using psychedelics to heal and grow, then kept returning despite encounters with hell — took mushrooms alone three months after the first terrifying retreat, then attended another retreat. The enemy used the genuine longing for healing to keep him returning to a dangerous open door.
Unforgiveness was an open door for the enemy — demons were tormenting me. The moment I forgave everybody the torment stopped. Unforgiveness is a big open door for the enemy.
I started to confess my sins — one by one like I have to face them like one by one to confess. Jealousy, envy, anger, hatred — one by one. The only way is for me to repent, to speak it out loud into the light. Once I said it out loud I felt like this huge weight left me and I actually physically was throwing up.
I closed my eyes and I opened my arms and I just said to God in my mind: I love you, I trust you, I Surrender.
I called my earthly best friend Adam — he's a Christian — and long story short he shared a brief gospel version with me and we just prayed a simple prayer where I surrendered my life to Jesus.
I had some unforgiveness and demons were tormenting me and then I forgave everybody and the torment stopped.
I just put a Bible on my head because it was so powerless I didn't know what to do, nobody's home, it was just me, I was being tormented by those demons and I put the Bible on my head and the demons were fleeing from all directions.
Ever since then I stopped using psychedelics and I started to dive into the word.

Alex's entire journey — spiritually dead in New Age, encountering God, being born again — mirrors the valley of dry bones coming to life.
Tree vine froze his arm mid-reach toward God, mirroring the Sistine Chapel image and the broken covenant — he had to choose to break through it.

Alex's Christian Walk
Atheist-raised New Age seeker using psychedelics to fill an emotional void → born-again believer who encountered Jesus directly and found in him the love and home he had been searching for his entire life.
Stopped using psychedelics entirely and never looked back. Built a Christian community in Tucson after previously knowing not a single Christian man. Began reading the Bible voraciously. Experiences joy regardless of circumstances — no longer a slave to sin. Has a sense of purpose, safety, and hope for eternity.
I'm no longer a slave, I'm no longer a slave to sin and I have hope for eternity.
A female witch-like demon that came out of his mouth — jealousy, envy, anger, and hatred leaving one by one through confession, accompanied by physical vomiting.
Delivered from jealousy, envy, anger, hatred — one by one I had to face them and confess. A female old witch-like demon came out of my mouth. I was set free from psychedelics and New Age spirituality. Unforgiveness was an open door — I forgave everybody and the torment stopped.
After his first encounter he was depressed for three months, unsure what had happened. He continued using psychedelics and remained partially in New Age thinking for a period after his initial surrender, slowly being convicted out of it. He experienced demonic torment during a final psychedelic experience before fully stopping.
I felt how much debt I was in — I could not possibly pay that debt on my own, but for some reason I was pardoned.

Prayer
The power of Prayer — Praying Christian best friend stood in the gap for Alex.
Adam, Alex's Christian best friend, had been praying for him every day — kneeling down — for a long time before Alex ever called him. When Alex finally reached out after his second Jesus encounter, Adam shared a brief version of the gospel and prayed a simple prayer of surrender with him. He was the first person Alex thought to call.
Whatever you carry right now, you can bring it to Him. You don’t need the right words.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

If you don’t know how → Just ask him
Pray for those trapped in New Age spirituality and psychedelic communities who are genuinely searching for healing and love — that Jesus would pursue them as relentlessly as he pursued Alex.
Is today your day?
Absolutely, He will.
You don't have to figure everything out right now.
You don't need to have all the answers.
If something stirred in your heart while you were watching or reading — that's not nothing.
That is the Holy Spirit gently knocking on the door of your heart.
Stay right here. There's no rush. The Spirit doesn't pressure or hurry.
Watch another video. Read a little more. Take your time.
When you're ready — even if “ready” just means a little curious — Jesus is ready to meet you.
You don't have to clean up your life first.
You don't have to pass any test.
You only need to say a simple “yes” to Him.
He will take care of the rest.
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
