Before you watch
This testimony contains a vivid near-death experience — falling into a black abyss, screaming Islamic prayers with no response, and an angel urging a last-second cry to Jesus. What makes it remarkable is not the drama but the 30-year gap: a man who met Jesus at 12 and spent three decades fighting what he knew. The stubbornness makes the surrender unforgettable.
What this story teaches
People do not reject Jesus because they have examined the evidence and found it wanting. They reject him because their identity is so fused with another system that seeing clearly feels like dying. Amir needed to actually die before he could see.
How God moved
God pursued Amir for thirty years after showing himself to a twelve-year-old Muslim boy — and waited. He did not force the door. When Amir finally fell into death screaming the wrong name, God sent an angel to give him one last window. That is not a God who gives up on people. That is a God who knows exactly how stubborn a person has to be before they will listen, and who plans accordingly.
The lie Amir carried
Islam is the one truth and Jesus is merely a prophet — no other conclusion is possible for a sincere person.
What Jesus showed him
Amir spent 30 years in proud Islamic identity, suppressing what he had seen at age 12 and dismissing his own encounter with Jesus. His core wound was not suffering but certainty — the absolute conviction that Islam was truth and Jesus was merely a prophet, a belief so total that even death itself could not immediately break it.
He gave me love that I never knew what love was until I have his love. I can't even breathe without him. I owe him every single ounce of my breath.
Go Deeper
You have to believe and you have to know that Jesus is who he says he is. And Jesus did what he says he did. It's factual. It's historical. It's proven. And it's proven on earth. The things that Jesus does, his name, what his name does, the power in his name, what it does in life, in reality. You don't need no visions or dreams or none of that stuff. It's all in front of us. We just need to do what he said — love each other, talk to each other, and reason with each other. Rejoice. Nothing is worth being hopeless for on this earth. This life is just a vapor. Before we know it, we're all going to be facing that same experience. You have to want God all the time — not only when things are going bad. If you pray with all your heart and all your soul, he will answer you.
People do not reject Jesus because they have examined the evidence and found it wanting. They reject him because their identity is so fused with another system that seeing clearly feels like dying. Amir needed to actually die before he could see.
What you can take from this
This week, if you have been dismissing a persistent inner voice or a recurring question about Jesus, stop dismissing it. Write down what you have been avoiding and ask honestly: what would it cost me to look at this seriously?
From birth, Amir was programmed that Islam was the one truth and that worshipping Jesus was the greatest sin — shirk — punishable by hell with no second chance. This belief system held him captive for 30 years even after a direct encounter with Jesus at age 12.
Fear of committing shirk — the unforgivable sin of making partners with God — and fear of leaving Islam, which carries a death penalty in the Middle East, kept Amir from accepting what he had seen and heard. Even after his NDE, he considered whether the devil was tricking him.
The enemy used Amir's deep love for his family and his Muslim community's honour culture as a lock against conversion. He planned to be an 'undercover Christian' to protect his family. When he told them, his father called him garbage and kicked him out. His family staged an intervention. His extended family in Lebanon was outraged.
Post-conversion, a demonic entity appeared in a dream as a handsome man holding a beautiful golden Quran, urging Amir to return to Islam and showing him verses about hellfire for those who commit shirk. When Amir refused in Jesus's name, the entity revealed itself as a 13-foot reptilian dragon.
If you are who you say you are, come into my heart and save me.
Do you believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and rose the third day for your sins? Yeah. Yes, I really do. I really do.
I gave in. I surrender. I'm giving everything to Jesus. That's it. He's my savior. He's my Lord. That's it. I have to believe in him.
It took me eight months. What I did was I read the Quran and I took notes and I read the Bible. I read the Bible too.
I went back upstairs to the hotel room and I opened the door and my wife is packing and I grabbed her and I hugged her right away.
Matthew 11:28–30
Amir's uncle quoted this to him in Tennessee; Amir later heard it sung on TV the night of his conversion; became a key anchor of his surrender.
John 20:29
Amir cites Thomas's encounter to express his wish he had believed without needing to see, and to bless those who believe without visions.
Revelation 22:1
Reading this chapter triggered recognition of his heaven dream; the electric shock returned and his back was instantly healed at that moment.
Jeremiah 33:3
Given to Amir's wife in a dream by a figure she could not see; confirmed by a bumper sticker; became a sign of God's pursuit of Amir.
Proverbs 3:5–6
Amir quotes this as the core problem — people leaning on their own understanding rather than trusting God.
Isaiah 1:18
Amir references God saying 'Let us reason together' as evidence of God's relational, loving nature versus a harsh judge.
Amir explicitly compares himself to Paul — a zealous persecutor of the faith who was stopped by a direct encounter with Jesus and converted.
Amir explicitly invokes Jonah — crying out to God while not yet fully on the other side, rescued before complete death.
Amir directly references Thomas and wishes he had believed without seeing, blessing those who believe without visions or signs.
Amir's heaven dream of the river of life, trees, and the book of life directly mirrored Revelation 22 before he had read it.
Amir spent 30 years ignoring Jesus after an encounter at age 12, then returned — the far country was Islam itself.
Amir's Christian Walk
Devout, identity-rooted Muslim certain Islam was the only truth → converted Christian who encountered Jesus personally in death and cannot deny what he witnessed.
His father called him garbage and kicked him out of the house. His extended family staged an intervention. His Muslim community shunned him. His family name was destroyed in the eyes of relatives overseas. His relationship with his father was permanently altered. He faced ongoing mockery and accusations of being a fake.
No matter how many times you pray, no matter how many times you fast, no matter how religious you are, you're never guaranteed.
Sharing his testimony publicly — including on video — to reach Muslims and others with the message that Jesus is real. He documents signs, dreams, and encounters to bear witness. He explicitly states he owes Jesus every breath and this is the least he can do.
Prayer
The power of Prayer — Estranged Christian uncle stood in the gap for Amir.
The uncle Amir had mocked and shunned for converting in the 1980s was the only person Amir trusted to call after his NDE. He met Amir in Tennessee, spoke Matthew 11:28 over him, looked him in the eyes and said 'You know the truth,' then walked him through the sinner's prayer by phone on the night of conversion.
Amir closes their testimony with a prayer for you.
Whatever you carry right now, you can bring it to Him. You don’t need the right words.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13
If you don’t know how → Just ask him
Pray for Muslims, and for anyone whose religious identity has become a wall between them and Jesus — that God would send the kind of undeniable encounter that no amount of pride or programming can explain away.
Is today your day?
Absolutely, He will.
You don't have to figure everything out right now.
You don't need to have all the answers.
If something stirred in your heart while you were watching or reading — that's not nothing.
That is the Holy Spirit gently knocking on the door of your heart.
Stay right here. There's no rush. The Spirit doesn't pressure or hurry.
Watch another video. Read a little more. Take your time.
When you're ready — even if “ready” just means a little curious — Jesus is ready to meet you.
You don't have to clean up your life first.
You don't have to pass any test.
You only need to say a simple “yes” to Him.
He will take care of the rest.
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
