Kim
“I was a shaman's assistant, taking ayahuasca in Italy, when demons tried to drag my soul out of my body — and I had no idea Jesus had been watching me the whole time.”

Before you watch
This testimony moves through 15 years of New Age and shamanic involvement, including graphic demonic encounters during ayahuasca ceremonies and a demon manifesting through Kim's sleeping partner. It is heavy content, but the conversion moment — a voice in a bath, a single word, and a homecoming at a church full of ex-reprobates — is one of the most specific and surprising in this library.
What this story teaches
People who are genuinely hungry for God can spend years in the wrong spiritual world — not because they are evil but because the counterfeits are convincing and the real thing was never clearly presented to them. The enemy targets the spiritually sensitive.
How God moved
God watched Kim for 15 years as she walked deeper into spiritual deception, and he never stopped watching. When she finally asked for help — even in the middle of an ayahuasca ceremony — he came. He did not wait for her to find the right theology; he came as a gardener to a soul that didn't yet know his name.
What Jesus showed her
Kim had spent 15 years seeking truth through every spiritual door available — psychedelics, shamanism, plant medicine, New Age philosophy — and the Holy Spirit named it all in one word: pandemonium. The spirit of Pan had been the source. She had been deceived the entire time, and the deception had nearly cost her soul.
He never left my side through all my trials and errors. He stepped in and said, 'Enough is enough, devil — she's mine,' and he literally rescued me.
Go Deeper
It's time to come to the true and living God. And that God is through Jesus Christ. God is the most safest and most wonderful and faithful being you can ever put yourself in the hands of. He never left my side through all my trials and errors. And God works in a different way — you can still have spiritual encounters, but in Christ, they're true and they always have purpose and they always bear fruit in your life. When the Son sets you free, then you're free indeed.
People who are genuinely hungry for God can spend years in the wrong spiritual world — not because they are evil but because the counterfeits are convincing and the real thing was never clearly presented to them. The enemy targets the spiritually sensitive.
What you can take from this
If you are in any New Age, shamanic, or psychedelic spiritual practice this week, ask yourself one question: does the spirit you are encountering confess Jesus Christ? If it does not, test it — and consider asking the God of the Bible to show you what is real.
For 15 years, the enemy presented ayahuasca, shamanism, plant medicine, and New Age philosophy as the path to healing, truth, and spiritual experience — counterfeiting what the Holy Spirit does for real. Kim was told she could ascend, that she was destined to be a healer, and that the spirits were benevolent guides.
Kim moved progressively from magic mushrooms to LSD to ayahuasca ceremonies, from passive interest to working as a shaman's assistant for seven months, from reading books to running a book market promoting these ideas — each step deepening the entrapment.
Entities during the second ayahuasca night tried to drag Kim's spirit out of her body for hours, saying 'Come with us now.' She felt something holding her heart that could have crushed it. She clung to her mattress saying 'No, I don't want to go.'
A demon manifested through Kim's partner in his sleep on multiple occasions — growling, putting hands around her throat, and on one night mocking and cackling at her for an extended period while his eyes looked evil. She also had a dream in which a demon dragged her into a hole and raped her.
During the first ayahuasca night, Kim felt something scanning her — possibly her DNA — gathering information. She also noticed people at the retreat who seemed to know her and speak prophetically over her, which she now suspects involved monitoring spirits.
After conversion, the devil tried to manifest through Metallica music videos and was telling Kim to kill herself. She also had suicidal thoughts during the period of postnatal depression and isolation before conversion.
Kim became progressively more isolated — from family (sisters abroad, mother estranged), from community (no mum friends, partner working away), and from reality through truth-seeking rabbit holes. The isolation worsened her depression and made her more vulnerable to the ayahuasca world.
Father God, I'm really scared and I know you're real. I know that you're a good God. I know that you care about us. I know you're there. I know you've always been there, but I don't know who this Jesus is. And I'm afraid. But I submit to you — but if Jesus really is your son and that story in the Bible about him dying for us is true, then I'm ready for him. I'm ready.
I just got rid of — I just started throwing in plastic bags everything I own that was connected to this spirituality that I've been involved in or anything related to ayahuasca.
Oh my Jesus, I'm so sorry that I've never known you and that I didn't know that you were God. And I just started to confess my sins.
They asked, can they pray for me at the church? The pastor and this same guy took me to one side and said, can we pray for you? I said yes please. And they prayed for me and I hit the floor in that moment.
I knew that I had to do some renunciation prayers and I happened to do them. It was all a bit very dramatic. I happened to do some renunciation prayers before attending the retreat and it felt like a headache came up and broke off of me.
I found myself in the same church in Blackpool... I was dancing at the back of the church with joy.
Leviticus 19:31
Kim cites this to explain why God forbids mediums and spiritists — because we are in a fallen world surrounded by spiritual deceivers.
1 John 4:1–3
Kim reads this to warn viewers in any spirituality outside Christ to test the spirits — the spirits she encountered never confessed Jesus.
Amos 3:12
Kim references being 'snatched out of the mouth of the lion' as the exact feeling when black energy left her back during repentance prayer.
Romans 8:15
Kim references the spirit of adoption coming upon her as she danced at the back of the church at her conversion.
John 8:36
Kim quotes 'when the Son sets you free, you are free indeed' to contrast genuine Holy Spirit healing with counterfeit ayahuasca healing.
Hebrews 13:5
The pastor emailed Kim 'Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you' — the only encouragement she needed before attending the post-conversion retreat.
Psalms 8:2
Kim's 5-year-old son proclaimed 'Jesus is God' in the shamanic circle — she references 'out of the mouth of babes perfecting praise.'
Kim was actively pursuing counterfeit spirituality when a sudden divine revelation in the bath overturned her entire worldview in a moment, like Paul's conversion.
Kim explicitly uses this image — feeling black energy leave her back during repentance, as if snatched from a gaping mouth about to swallow her.
Kim describes arriving at church as 'a welcome home party' and feeling reunited with something she had always known — the father running to meet the returning child.
Kim explicitly names the spirit of adoption coming upon her as she danced at the back of the church, describing liquid love and adoption washing over her.
Kim describes the entities showing her a rainbow ladder in space during the ayahuasca trip — she herself wonders if it was a counterfeit of Jacob's ladder.
Kim's Christian Walk
New Age truth-seeker co-creating reality with plant spirits and shamanic guides → saved Christian who recognised every spiritual experience outside Christ as demonic deception.
Delivered from the depression that had plagued her through postnatal illness and years of truth-seeking. Freed from weed addiction and cigarettes. Cleared her home of all occult books and spiritual objects. Found a church community. Her 5-year-old son spontaneously proclaimed 'Jesus is God' in the middle of a shamanic ceremony.
I literally felt like I'd been reunited with something I'd always known to be true... it was just like liquid clean waterfall of purity and love and adoption.
Delivered from depression, from all the spirits operating through the shamanic and ayahuasca world, from the unclean spirits that had been causing torment. 'When the Son sets you free, then you're free indeed.' Healed and delivered from that depression by the real Holy Spirit.
A week after being saved, Kim attended an ayahuasca retreat she had already committed to, as a new believer with no church roots. She faced intense spiritual attack during renunciation prayers beforehand and navigated the retreat alone, sustained only by a pastor's email quoting Hebrews 13:5.
Sharing her testimony publicly to warn those in New Age, shamanic, and psychedelic spirituality; witnessing to people in spiritual danger; advocating for dialogue between Christians and those in occult practices.
Prayer
The power of Prayer — friend's wife (former pagan, newly saved) stood in the gap for Kim.
Persistently asked Kim to hear about Jesus — 'You've been open to everything else, so why don't you hear about Jesus?' — and walked her around Rivington Pike lake on a sunny day, sharing the gospel, handing her a Bible with her name and a personal letter written inside, and holding her hand as she described God's love and the blood of Christ. A second bridge: the pastor of the Blackpool church who emailed Kim the single scripture 'Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you' when she was alone and afraid before attending the post-conversion retreat.
Kim closes their testimony with a prayer for you.
Whatever you carry right now, you can bring it to Him. You don’t need the right words.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13
If you don’t know how → Just ask him
Pray for everyone currently in ayahuasca, shamanic, or New Age spirituality who is genuinely seeking God — that the Holy Spirit would do what he did for Kim: lift the veil in a single moment and make the truth undeniable.
Is today your day?
Absolutely, He will.
You don't have to figure everything out right now.
You don't need to have all the answers.
If something stirred in your heart while you were watching or reading — that's not nothing.
That is the Holy Spirit gently knocking on the door of your heart.
Stay right here. There's no rush. The Spirit doesn't pressure or hurry.
Watch another video. Read a little more. Take your time.
When you're ready — even if “ready” just means a little curious — Jesus is ready to meet you.
You don't have to clean up your life first.
You don't have to pass any test.
You only need to say a simple “yes” to Him.
He will take care of the rest.
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
