From infancy, Brian experienced terrifying night episodes — screaming, frozen stares, and a black presence appearing face-to-face after nightmares. 'It was like if you got submerged into a tank of liquid fear.' Escalated from childhood through teens.

Progressive entrapment

Finding his dad's porn stash in fourth grade seemed to open a portal. Then weed by sixth grade, acid and shrooms by eighth grade. Each escalation deepened the demonic activity. 'That really, really escalated the activity.'

Counterfeit spirituality

The occult practices Brian used to fight the demonic attacks only made things worse. 'All it seemed to do was just open up more doors.' He was deceived into thinking mastering meditation would protect him — it was a fake passport into the spirit world that left him defenseless.

Familiar spirit

Brian was able to read minds, transfer psychic ability to friends, and share visions with his girlfriend during drug use. A friend had a seizure during a mind-reading session and voices whispered 'witch.' Brian now identifies this as familiar spirits exploiting his occult practices.

Unnamed entity

Brian and his brother both experienced footsteps on the stairs, poltergeist activity (faucets spinning supernaturally, Super Nintendo clicking on, books knocked off shelves), and a female apparition floating past a second-story window accompanied by whispers and a house-shaking explosion sound.

Monitoring spirit

Brian's wife observed that he seemed to have 'this dark thing following me around' — no matter how hard he tried, something would always come along and mess it up. Brian himself felt his whole life he had 'this dark thing that was just attached to me and would just follow me wherever I went.'

I kind of swore off ever trying to use my third eye or to meditate. I just I never wanted to do it again. That was kind of the end of that whole experiment.

It took God literally tapping me on the shoulder and giving me a hug for him to get through to me.

After that moment, boom, dropped it. Done. I had no struggle with it and ever since I've just completely abstained from that. Stopped smoking weed, which I had had trouble giving up. Stop drinking. I just kind of gave everything up.

I'm just now trying to kind of get through the Bible. And it's crazy how it's just kind of coming to life now. When I read it now, it's just like it just hits different. It's just reaffirming all these things that were just put into me.

Brian mocked Christianity his whole life until a sudden, overwhelming supernatural encounter converted him instantly — mirroring Paul's Damascus road experience, explicitly noted by the host.

Brian's astral projection experience of leaving Earth into a black limbo he identifies as 'outer darkness' directly echoes the biblical concept of outer darkness.

Brian's Christian Walk

Immediately stopped watching pornography after a lifelong habit since fourth grade — no struggle, just done. Stopped smoking weed, which he had previously had trouble giving up. Stopped drinking. Was able to navigate the catastrophic loss of his business and his mother's death in a healthy way he had never managed before in adversity. The Bible, which previously seemed like nonsense, now comes alive when he reads it.

I found out that I was living in total sin and so much of what I was doing was so wrong and I had no idea.

Just weeks after his conversion experience, Brian lost his business of four years when a third-party bankruptcy stole all investor funds. Almost simultaneously, his mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died within two to three months. He describes this as the roughest period of his entire life. He also continues to deal with spiritual oppression and is still working toward full deliverance.

Prayer

The power of Prayer — praying aunt stood in the gap for Brian.

Brian's aunt Debbie prayed for him for decades. When he called to tell her about his conversion, she wept for five minutes straight — she had been praying for that moment the whole time. A Christian friend also prayed for Brian throughout the years and repeatedly tried to convince him to read the Bible and go to church, though Brian thought it was ridiculous at the time.
