Jessica
“I spent a decade as a master-level Reiki healer, lived at a Buddhist center, trained in yoga in India — and then something came up out of me that I knew was not human, and my entire world shattered in an instant.”

Before you watch
This testimony goes into specific detail about demonic manifestations during deliverance — physical sensations, spirits departing through the body — described calmly but vividly. What makes it worth watching is that Jessica spent a decade at the highest levels of New Age practice and can name exactly what she was in and why it is dangerous, making this one of the most informed insider accounts available.
What this story teaches
People who are genuinely searching for truth are among the most vulnerable to spiritual deception — the sincerity of the search does not protect against a counterfeit that feels exactly like the real thing. God can reach even those who are most convinced they have already found him.
How God moved
God watched Jessica spend a decade in spiritual darkness she genuinely believed was light, and he did not abandon her — he answered a mother's prayers and used a dinner table conversation to reawaken an ache she had buried. He did not force her back; he created the conditions for her to remember what she had lost and choose him again.
The lie Jessica carried
Feelings and experiences validate truth — if it feels like love and light, it must be from God.
What Jesus showed her
She had trusted feelings and experiences as the measure of spiritual truth for over a decade — the euphoric peace of meditation, the love and light of New Age practice — and in one moment discovered that every sensation she had relied on as validation was a demonic counterfeit. Her entire epistemology was the lie.
Jesus is the one who saved me when nothing else could. He saved me from the darkness that I opened myself to so that I could live in freedom here on this earth. He is my father, my husband, my maker, my friend — the fulfillment of every good thing.
Go Deeper
I would say you have nothing to fear if you turn to Jesus because he is more powerful than anything that you have opened yourself to. You don't have to live in fear. You don't have to have this stuff forever. You can turn to Jesus. It's just a simple — there's no special formula. You just ask for forgiveness, you just repent. Repent is a turning. Lord, I was doing that and I'm sorry, and now I'm going to follow you. I'm not going to do that anymore. I believe you are who you say you are. I believe you are God's son and I want to follow you. It's as simple as that. And Lord, please take anything that I opened myself to. Please take it. Get rid of it. And he will. It's also really important to be around a body of believers. Things aren't going to look the same — for the absolute best. The richness and the fullness that has come from my life since then has been phenomenal. I used to think real happiness was from traveling and partying and doing all this fun exciting things. It's such a lie. The joy is in following the Lord. You will never ever regret it.

What you can take from this
If you are currently in any New Age, energy healing, or meditation practice, this week take Jessica's framework and ask one honest question: is this practice clearly defined and permitted in the Bible? If not, pause it — not out of fear, but out of the same desire for truth that led you there.
Everything that I opened myself to, all the stuff that I thought was love and light — all of this was a lie. It was exactly what the Bible said it was. It was demonic. Even the stuff that looked and felt like love and light, that was the evil and the darkness too.
Something very dark and evil was trying to come up and out. It felt like a ball of hate, anger, terror — dark ugliness rising from the pit of my stomach. It felt like it wanted to consume me, like it wanted to take over and kill me.
The enemy tried to get me off track immediately after conversion — a cushy job on a tropical island opened up at the exact moment the Lord was calling me to scrub toilets at a Christian camp. I wanted it so bad. I can see how the enemy was trying to get me off track.
I asked my relative for instruction and just threw myself in head first. I lived at a Buddhist center, traveled to South America, lived at an ashram in India, attained master level Reiki. I really spent about a decade just heavily immersed in these practices.
I got down on my knees for the first time in a really long time and I thanked all of the other spirits I had been working with and then I said, 'But from now on, I'm just going to be working with Jesus.'
They recommended that I read a chapter in Proverbs and a chapter in Luke. We were reading Proverbs and Luke every day, little bit every day out loud.
I told myself, 'Whatever happens, I'm just going to accept it. I spent enough of my life depending on experiences and feelings to validate truth. From now on, I would believe every word of the Bible and live my life walking by faith in it, not by my feelings, not by my experiences.'
Donald and Dawn had asked me if there was anything that I could think of that I had opened myself to. Words started coming out that I hadn't even been thinking of — different teachers, different practices, different things. They started praying and reading the Bible. Don said, 'Jessica, just take a deep breath.'
I just surrendered myself to the Lord and said, 'Okay, whatever you want to do, I'm yours.'
I knew I had to cut it off with my boyfriend at the time. I went back and lived at my parents' house at 30 years old and said, 'I don't know what I'm doing with my life. Lord, you show me.'
The Lord had me in a place surrounded by believers where I was just constantly taking in teachings, constantly around people who were building me up in the faith, meeting every single morning with my co-workers for worship for teachings.
1 Corinthians 15:33
Speaker quotes 'Bad company corrupts good character' as the biblical warning that proved true when teenage rebellion took root.
Luke 22:42
Reading Jesus in Gethsemane — 'not my will but yours' — broke her and made the reality of the cross personal for the first time.
2 Corinthians 11:14
'Satan masquerades as an angel of light' — flooded her mind at the moment of deliverance and shattered her New Age worldview instantly.
Isaiah 54:5
'Your maker is your husband, Lord Almighty is his name' — spoken to her during her single years post-conversion; she took it to heart and had date nights with the Lord.
Galatians 5:1
'It is for freedom that Christ set us free' — the verse she returns to repeatedly as her defining declaration of what Jesus accomplished.
Matthew 7:13–14
Narrow gate and narrow path — she cites this repeatedly as the framework for staying safe from deception and following Jesus exclusively.
Ephesians 6:10–18
Full armor of God — cited in her closing prayer for viewers turning to Jesus, equipping them against the enemy.
Like Paul, Jessica was actively moving away from Christ when a sudden, undeniable encounter shattered her worldview and reversed her entire direction in an instant.
Jessica grew up knowing Jesus, wandered into a far country of spiritual deception for a decade, and returned — the ache of missing him was the turning point.
The deliverance session was described as a 'cleaning of house' — spirits expelled one by one until deep peace settled, mirroring the breath of God restoring life.
Jessica's Christian Walk
Devoted New Age practitioner who believed all spiritual paths lead to love and light → Bible-anchored Christian who discovered every path outside Scripture is demonic deception
Ended an unhealthy relationship and eventually married a Christian husband of 13 years. Has four children. Left the New Age world entirely. Spent two years in a Christian camp community being discipled. Replaced partying and travel with a deeply rooted faith life. Describes a richness and fullness of life she says surpasses anything she experienced in the New Age.
I wasn't the same person. I didn't want to go party anymore. I wasn't interested in the same things anymore.
Multiple spirits expelled through physical manifestations — yoga (arms raised in sun salutation), angel-work (release through armpit), Reiki (release through palms of hands) — each departing with a deep throaty hiss. She felt each one leave and knew they were gone.
The darkness that I opened myself to — yoga, Reiki energy healing, mediumship, angel work, mindfulness meditation, cocaine — all of it came up and out. I was set free from every spirit I had invited in through a decade of New Age practices. Everything was gone.
Had to end an unhealthy relationship with her boyfriend after conversion. Moved back to her parents' house at 30 with no life plan. Lost her entire social circle — friends didn't know how to handle her transformation. Faced an enemy attempt to pull her back into a glamorous travel job.

Prayer
The power of Prayer — praying mother stood in the gap for Jessica.
Her mother prayed for her consistently and passionately throughout the entire decade of New Age involvement — 'Lord, just show her truth, she's searching for truth, just show her truth.' Jessica credits the Lord answering her mother's prayers as what ultimately happened. A second bridge: Christian counselors Donald and Dawn, who received her without forcing Jesus on her, modelled genuine Christian love at dinner, and later administered deliverance prayer at their ranch.
Jessica closes their testimony with a prayer for you.
Whatever you carry right now, you can bring it to Him. You don’t need the right words.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13
If you don’t know how → Just ask him
Pray for anyone currently in New Age or occult practices who genuinely believes they are on a path of love and light — that God would shatter the deception as gently and completely as he did for Jessica, and that someone would be praying for them the way her mother prayed.
Is today your day?
Absolutely, He will.
You don't have to figure everything out right now.
You don't need to have all the answers.
If something stirred in your heart while you were watching or reading — that's not nothing.
That is the Holy Spirit gently knocking on the door of your heart.
Stay right here. There's no rush. The Spirit doesn't pressure or hurry.
Watch another video. Read a little more. Take your time.
When you're ready — even if “ready” just means a little curious — Jesus is ready to meet you.
You don't have to clean up your life first.
You don't have to pass any test.
You only need to say a simple “yes” to Him.
He will take care of the rest.
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

I was a very miserable, angry person. My whole life was a trauma drama. I was into the New Age for 15 years, tried everything — Sufism, Buddhism, feminism, all of it — and none of it led me to truth or life. I had so much abuse, anger, hatred, and condemnation inside me.
